A person is morally responsible for an injury when the person caused the injury and did so knowingly and freely. A person is morally responsible for an injury or wrong if:
1. The person caused or helped cause it, or failed to prevent it when he could and should have; and
2. The person did so knowing what he or she was doing; and

Read as part of my Ethics class. The book had a lot of interesting discussion starters, but I don't feel like it fully explored any of the ideas. It felt like the author was trying to lead us to certain opinions without us realizing what he was doing. There are many instances where he presents a very strong argument - on one side of a debate. An unthinking person would naturally be insensed, but on further reflection, you realize there is a lot more of the debate that has been left out.
